[Jefferson Firefighters]

Jefferson Parish Council Members and the Parish President have the power to stop this proposal by expressing their support for their firefighters and voting against it. The citizens and the fire department will still be here when they are no longer in office.
The fire department has been in existence for 50 years. Tell them to speak up for their firefighters. East Jefferson has progressed, and funds a professional fire department, with career fire personnel. This proposal will hurt firefighter families. Get the facts, don't let incompetent leaders and (a PR firm from another jurisdiction) mask what is really going on for fire personnel and the taxpayers of our community.

I disagree with change to the current proposal to restructure Fire Fighter income. Please know I am an avid supporter of the Jefferson Parish Council and of all First Responders in Jefferson Parish and surrounding parish's, and I am a lifelong parish taxpayer. I urge you to vote a 'no change" when those votes are cast.
